GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS - JULY 6, 2008

Sunday Morning Prayer
Sunday mornings, 9:30-9:50 am, in the doubled-door room to the left of the stage.  Everyone is invited to come and pray for the Sunday meeting. 

Evangelism Prayer
Sunday mornings, 9-9:30 am, at the church office conference room (enter through the back patio door).  Join us as we pray for the lost, the Alpha course, our One Life person, outreach events and more. 

Expansion 2008 Offering
We will receive our monthly Expansion 2008 fund offering today separate from regular tithes and offerings.  Please prepare a separate check and note “Expansion 2008” in the memo.  Thanks for your generosity! 

Sunday Receptions
Everyone is invited to a refreshment reception on the back patio of the church office after each Sunday meeting this summer.  Additionally, the first Sunday of each month, there will be donuts to enjoy.  Children are invited, so please pick up your children first and then join the reception.  Note:  Guest Receptions are discontinued – Guest Luncheons will continue as scheduled.  New folks are invited to visit the Lobby Welcome Center during receptions and someone will be there to answer questions and give out church information.  Enjoy church community life this summer! 

GO Team
Saturday, July 12, at 10 am, the Gospel Outreach (GO) Team will meet, form into small teams, and share the gospel in the community using our “How Good Are You?” booklets.  We will meet at CrossWay.  Any questions, please contact Adam Campbell. 

Holy Spirit Meeting
Sunday, July 13, 12:15 pm, in the Auditorium, there will be a short time of instruction by Mickey and prayer for anyone who would like to be filled with the Holy Spirit and receive His gifts.  Everyone is invited to hear, be prayed for, and receive! 

Family Meeting
Friday, July 18, from 7:00-9:00 pm, there will be a family meeting for CrossWay church members.  Please make it a priority to attend this important meeting. Childcare and refreshments will be provided. 

Children’s Ministry Workshop
Saturday, July 19, from 9:00 am-12:00 noon, in the Special Events Room, there will be a workshop for all teachers and helpers.  Please make it a priority to attend. 

Oaks Mercy Ministry
Saturday, July 19, from 10:30-11:30 am, worship and prayer at the Oaks Nursing Center in Huntersville.  Questions, please contact Tom Honea. 

Guest Luncheon
Sunday, July 20, at 12:15 pm, in the Special Events Room, there will be a free guest luncheon for anyone who has been visiting CrossWay recently.  You will be hosted by the pastors and their wives, plus there will be Q&A at the end.  Childcare is provided. 

Becky Dilloway Wedding Shower
Sunday, July 20, at 4:00 pm, in the Lobby, there will be a shower to celebrate the upcoming marriage of Becky Dilloway and Cameron Sherrin.  Please RSVP to Kristin Seaver by July 13 if you plan to attend. 

Mission 28 Parents’ Meeting
Wednesday, July 30, 7:00 pm,  in the Special Events Room, there will be a meeting for all parents with sons or daughters in Mission 28.  All Mission 28 parents are welcome, however, parents new to Mission 28 are especially encouraged to come!  Any questions, please contact Joe Lechner. 

WorshipGod08 Conference
July 30-August 2, at Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg, MD, WorshipGod08 Conference sponsored by Sovereign Grace Ministries.  This conference is for anyone who wants to grow in understanding and leading biblical worship. Six main sessions will explore the Psalms as a model for worship. There will also be five practical seminars to choose from that will sharpen your thinking, improve your skills, and refresh your soul.  Register through July 9 at worshipgodconference.com. 

Melissa Ruszczyk Baby Shower
Saturday, August 2, from 10 am-12 noon, in the Lobby, there will be a shower to celebrate the upcoming birth of Dave and Melissa’s baby girl.  Melissa is registered at Target and Babies R Us.  Please RSVP to Robin Miracle if you plan to attend. 

P/T Church Office Help Needed
If you are a CrossWay member and are interested in part-time employment, the church office would like to hire someone to help with web and graphics-related tasks.  Candidates should be computer savvy and familiar with using Word.  Mac experience a plus.  If interested or for more information, please contact David Moore at the church office. 

New Member’s Dinner Coordinator Needed
We are looking for someone who would be willing to coordinate the teams that serve the new member’s dinners.  There are three such dinners each year.  If you are interested or would like more information, please contact David Moore.
