Who We Are
Mickey and his wife Jane moved to Charlotte in 1996 to serve on the staff of CrossWay Community Church. He has served as senior pastor since 2002. Previously he served at Solid Rock Church in Riverdale, Maryland from 1984 to 1996. In addition to his responsibilities at CrossWay, Mickey serves Sovereign Grace Churches as the Director of Church Development; as Regional Leader in 5 states; and, as a teacher at SGC's Pastor's College. Mickey and Jane have three married children and a growing gang of grandchildren.
Joe began attending CrossWay Community Church as a teenager in 1991 and began serving as a pastor at CrossWay in 2001 after graduating from the Sovereign Grace Churches Pastor's College. Besides pastoral care, Joe is responsible for leading CrossWay's Children's Ministry and youth ministry, The 1-1-Six, as well as regularly preaching on Sunday mornings. Joe and his wife, Jeanie, were married in 2002 and they currently have four children.
Nick came to Charlotte in 2004 to join the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, playing oboe. Shortly after moving to Charlotte he began attending CrossWay Community Church. He loved the church and over time felt a growing call to pastoral ministry. Nick graduated from the Sovereign Grace Churches Pastors College in 2007 and has been on staff as a pastor since June of 2007. His responsibilities include overseeing pastoral care and Community Group life, leading CrossWay's Men’s Ministry and preaching periodically. Nick recently began studies at Reformed Theological Seminary, pursuing a Masters of Arts degree in Biblical Studies. Nick is married to Rebecca and has 3 children: Kathryn, Daniel, and Caroline.
Jeremy grew up in the north Florida area. He graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in marketing (1995). Later he and his wife, Becky, moved to the Raleigh area to attend Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he graduated with the degrees, Master of Divinity (2002) and Master of Theology (2004). Jeremy and his family have been at CrossWay since 2006 and he came on staff as a pastor in January 2011. His responsibilities include sharing pastoral care and leadership of Community Groups, director of Gospel Care and Redemption Groups, church planting initiatives, and leadership development. He also serves on the National Church Planting Group for Sovereign Grace Churches. Jeremy and Becky have six children. He enjoys reading, sports, outdoor adventures, tinkering in the yard, spending time with his family, and hanging out with friends.
Jon grew up in CrossWay Community Church and began serving as a pastor in 2010 after graduating from the Sovereign Grace Churches Pastor's College. Jon is responsible for leading M28, our college outreach ministry on the campus of UNCC. Jon and his wife Laura were married in 2010 and have a newborn son, Jack.
David grew up in the Charlotte area before graduating with a computer information systems degree from Cedarville University. Upon returning to Charlotte, he and his wife Jessica began attending CrossWay in 1997, and David joined the staff as the church's administrator in 2002. His responsibilities include facilities, events, finances, and general office administration. He and Jessica have five children.
JJ and his wife Bethany moved down to Charlotte to be a part of CrossWay in 2011 while he attended Reformed Theological Seminary, which he graduated from in 2014. Previously JJ had interned with Covenant Life Church up in Maryland where he and Bethany were married in 2010. Since moving down to Charlotte he interned with M28, CrossWay’s college ministry, and is now a pastoral intern teaching Gospel Living classes, helping with Community Groups, preaching in M28, working on ordination, and doing anything else people tell him to do.
